Our first Christmas tree in our house!

This is our first Christmas in our house so things have been exciting for us as we prepare for Santa to come visit. When out shopping for our tree we picked what we thought was "the perfect tree" until we got home and realized it was too big...oops! Oh well I guess we learned our lesson. Gracie had a good time helping decorate the bottom of the tree. She loves to turn on the lights in the morning and off at night when she goes to bed. I hope to take her to see Santa this weekend! Cross your fingers that she puts on her happy face!!

It's sNoWiNg!

We woke up and there was snow on the ground! Gracie was so excited to see snow. I was doing dishes and things got kinda quiet so I turned around and found her standing on the window seal watching it snow outside. As badly as I wanted to scold her for standing where she's not supposed to be standing, she was just curious and it was pretty darn cute:) It probably doesn't help either that I went for the camera too! Oh well...

Chilly day!

It was a sunny yet cold day outside so we went out to swing. Gracie loves to teeter-totter and scream "higher, higher"! Nate got a picture of her at the perfect moment!

3 generations
Thanksgiving was in the good ol Tri cities this year at mom and dads. We missed Syd and Jeff lots and lots and lots! There was good food, drinks, laughs and more all day long. Gracie loved running around with her cousins Emma and Ben. Nate had to work so Gracie and I brought him home some left-overs and a few pieces of pie.

New Swing Set!!!

Nate worked super hard and finally finished Gracie's princess swing set! She LOVES it. This morning she woke up asking for her hat and gloves so she could go out and swing.

1st time @ gymnastics

NAte and I took Gracie and Hayden to gymnastics for the first time this week and they both had a good time...or maybe it was just that we got out of the house:) But now that Hayden is crawling he was lovin all the stuf to chase after and Gracie was all over the place trying everything that all the other kids were doing!

So during the day I babysit my girlfriends little boy, Hayden. Gracie loves Hayden sooo much she can't hardly stand it. So I put them both in their cute little Halloween outfits and did a little photo op, some of these pics are so cute (to me at least)! Gracie wouldn't let Hayden hold the little ghost basket with the candy in it...guess you had to be there!

...bubbles...bubbles...

Gracie has always loved to take bathtubs but now it has become even more fun because I've decided to add lots of bubbles. There is a warning on all the bubbles baths that read something about "may cause infection" so that freaks me outs a little...what kind of infection are we talking about? But I've gotten over it and now Gracie loves the bath even more, and sometimes it's a great activity to pass some time♥

Trick or Treating

Gracie had lots of fun going house to house trick or treating at all our family and friends'. In the beginning she didn't want to wear the horse or the hat, which then made the costume pointless but then I discovered that with a little bribing, she was in full costume no questions asked! Nate had to work so Gracie and I were on our own for the evenign, Nate was excited to see the pics the next morning and was sad that we wasn't along for the ride, maybe next year!

Mommy time

This past weekend I was able to accomplish lots of scrap booking as I left town on a scrap retreat with ladies I used to work with. Not only is it time for us to scrapbook and make cards but lots and lots of chit-chat too. I'm so happy to say that I'm almost caught up now on Gracie's scrapbook!

Pumpkin Patch

Last week we took Gracie to the Pumpkin patch where she picked out her very own pumpkin. There were lots of things for her to do such as a petting zoo, stray pyramid and a kids maze made of straw. She had a fun time. Nate and I waled through the corn maze also where Gracie enjoyed leading the way.

Playing outside with Daddy

It was a beautiful day outside and so while Gracie and Nate were outside I tried to take a few pics. They didn't turn out perfect but I think they're cute. She was helping him mow the grass and smelling all the flowers...what a cutie!

Here are just some cute pics of Gracie that I took of here the last couple days. She finally has learned how to wear her head band the correct way...opposed to over the eyes!! She is currently in this stage where instead of posing for the pic she prefers to grab at the camera and take the pic herself. So I've learned to be sneaky and quick!

Buddy Walk

Hi guys

This past weekend Gracie and I participated in a one mile Buddy Walk that supports individuals with Down Syndrome. It was so much fun, Gracie really enjoyed herself! The bounce arena was there and I could not get Gracie out of there for anything. It took her awhile before she actually stood up but once she got the hang of it she loved it! Then Home Depot was there and so she got a kit to make a "bug house" and a HD apron that says Hello My Name is Gracie...ADORABLE! Now she just needs some tools to fill the pockets! Finally, before we left she had the chance to walk through a fire engine, I'm not sure she knew what it was or why I thought it was so cool, but she enjoyed the walkie talkies even though she treated them like a cell phone...oh well! It made for a fun Saturday morning together:)

Grandpa Jim

So things have been a little crazy at my house the past week. Nate's parents came to visit and his Dad suffered from a stroke his first day here. So it turned out that we were visiting him daily at the hospital. But he is recovering at a slow pace and doing well, in fact he is back at our house taking it easy for a while before making the long road trip home.

We miss you Syd & Jeff

My sister and brother in law just moved out to the mid-west, so I hope that this will keep them updated with all of Gracie's Great Adventures! They were married this past June and Gracie was asked to be the Flower Girl. Here is a pic from their special day!

Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs

Gracie loves to sit in her Dora chair and read to her baby, Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs is currently her FAVORITE! She likes to search out all the meatballs! She just recently took interest in babies, so it's been a new adventure always remembering to pack baby along to prevent any meltdowns!

CBC volleyball here comes GRACIE

Once again CBC volleyball is in season! Gracie, Nana and I enjoy cheering on Poppy and his team to victory! Gracie loves to go onto the court after the game to dance around and play catch with Poppy.
